MEDITATION PROBLEMS & SOLUTIONS

Experiencing a wild, distracted mind?

You’re not alone. Even meditators 2,000 years ago dealt with the same problems as us attention-challenged modern folk.

Master Asanga, one of the most famous Indian Buddhist saints, wrote in the fourth century Differentiating the Middle View and the Extreme View:

Laziness, forgetting the instruction,
Languor and excitation, lack of application,
And likewise application—
These are recognized as the five faults.

Let’s learn the problems all meditators face and the antidotes masters have passed on for centuries. By recognizing when we’re having one of these problems and applying their antidotes, we can develop a solid foundation from the start.
